This is the kit I point to when someone asks what a modern Perfect Grade can do. The 1/60 frame layers metal-toned inner structure under the armor, the V-fin has its own internal skeleton, and the fin funnel stand holds the whole pose without sagging. It is a serious time investment, easily dozens of hours for a straight build, and the price puts it out of casual territory, but nothing else in my collection feels this mechanically honest when you pose it.

22. MSN-04 Sazabi (RG)
The RG Sazabi does not feel like a 1/144 kit. Bandai skipped polycaps almost entirely here, running plastic on plastic joints with a couple of Advanced Joint parts tucked into the funnel racks, and the articulation range beats plenty of MG kits I have built. The shoulder joints run tight out of the box, tight enough that I would build slowly and avoid forcing them, but the payoff is a bulky, heavy looking mobile suit that holds its pose without a stand.

This is the original RX-78-2 done at full Perfect Grade scale with the animation color palette instead of the more muted realistic scheme, and it reads exactly like the one you grew up watching. Hi-Nu takes the Nu Gundam silhouette and scales up the fin funnel count and bulk, and the RG line handles that extra mass better than I expected from a 1/144 kit. The backpack unit is genuinely heavy for the scale, so I would seat the peg joints firmly and expect to occasionally readjust the pose after a few weeks on the shelf. Still, for the detail Bandai packed into this frame, it is a strong pickup for Nu Gundam fans who do not want PG size.

1010. XXXG-00W0 Wing Gundam Zero "Ver.Ka" (MG)
Katoki's Ver.Ka take on Wing Zero is widely considered the strongest three dimensional interpretation of this suit, and building it confirms why. Nearly the whole kit needs no paint thanks to the metallic blue and matte white molding, and the wings genuinely fold to store the twin buster rifle before flipping into Neo Bird Mode.
