Gundam: HG vs MG
If you want the Gundam and cannot decide between the High Grade (HG) and the Master Grade (MG) version, here they are side by side on the things that actually change your decision: size, detail, how hard the build is, price, and who each one is really for.

What changes between HG and MG
This is the classic size-and-detail step up. High Grade is 1/144, cheap, and quick, the workhorse you can finish in an evening or two. Master Grade jumps to 1/100 with a full inner frame, stronger articulation, and enough surface to reward panel lining and paint. The MG costs more, takes longer, and eats more shelf, but it is a properly satisfying build. Pick HG if budget, speed, or space matter most; pick MG when you want to slow down and do the suit justice.
Get the HG if
you want this suit affordably, want to finish it in an evening or two, or plan to build several kits without breaking the bank. It is the easy, everyday yes.
Get the MG if
you want size, a full inner frame, and the room to panel line, paint, and pose the suit properly. It is the enthusiast sweet spot and the grade most builders grow into.
