This kit is a fun, cheap oddball that I'd recommend for the gimmick weapon alone, not much else.
It reworks the old After War Gundam X Daughtress into a One-Eye faction unit, and the new tooling shows in the proportions and the joint feel. The multiple barrel rifle is genuinely the star of the box, unfolding into three different firing configurations that make posing it worth the price on their own.
Best for: P-Bandai completionists and Build Divers fans who want the distinctive four-barrel rifle without paying resale markup on the bigger release kits
What it is
I picked this one up mainly out of curiosity about the weapon, and I came away liking the whole package more than I expected. It is a small, cheap HG built off the bones of the old Daughtress from After War Gundam X, reskinned as a mono-eyed grunt for the One-Eye faction in Build Divers Re:RISE. The proportions are stockier and more grounded than a lot of modern HG lines, which actually suits a mass-production suit. The multiple barrel rifle is where the design team clearly spent their effort. It unfolds from a tight four-barrel bundle into a wide spread for a diffused beam mode, or you can rotate the barrels for a rapid-fire look, and both configurations hold up on the shelf.
The catch
This is a P-Bandai exclusive, which means you are either paying resale markup or you missed the original 1,430 yen online-shop price entirely, and that alone will be a dealbreaker for a lot of people. Color separation leans on foil stickers for the purple accents, the head, the shield, and parts of the rifle, so out of the box it looks more decal-reliant than gray plastic-only shots suggest. It is also a genuinely minor release, a one-off faction grunt rather than a hero unit, so there is not much lore weight or screen time backing it up if that matters to you.
Who it's for
Grab this if you already track down P-Bandai HGs, if you like mono-eye grunt designs more than hero Gundams, or if you just want a distinctive rifle prop for diorama work without building a whole army of the more common Union suits. Skip it if you only buy what is on regular retail shelves, since hunting down a 2020 online-exclusive HG in 2026 means paying secondary market prices for what is, underneath the gimmick, a fairly simple grunt kit. If the rifle does not grab you specifically, there are better value HGs from the same series to start with.
The build story
What the build is actually like, and the engineering worth knowing about.
The build itself is quick and simple, in line with most HGs at this scale and price. Gate placement is unremarkable, nothing that fights you on cleanup, and the frame goes together without any of the looseness some budget HGs suffer from. The multiple barrel rifle is the one subassembly worth taking your time on, since the unfolding hinge needs a careful test-fit before you commit to a final pose.
Where the kit earns its keep is articulation and that weapon. The double-sided ball-joint neck and elbows that bend past 90 degrees let you get real dynamic poses out of a small, cheap kit, and the knees are double-jointed rather than single hinges. Color separation on the gray body is handled in molded plastic across a few tones, but the purple highlights and other accents come from foil stickers, so expect a sticker session before you get the finished look the box art promises.
Lore & trivia
- 01The Eldora Daughtress is a reworked version of the DT-6800 Daughtress, a mass-production mobile suit from After War Gundam X, rebuilt for the One-Eye faction seen in Gundam Build Divers Re:RISE.
- 02Its Multiple Barrel Rifle can switch between a concentrated beam mode, a wide diffused beam mode, and a rapid-fire mode by rotating and unfolding its four barrels.
- 03The kit was released in February 2020 as a Premium Bandai (P-Bandai) online-shop exclusive priced at 1,430 yen, meaning it never had a general retail run.
