The verdict

This is the HGCE Strike Gundam wearing a flashier jacket, and I mean that as a genuine compliment.

Toru Satsuki's custom build in Gundam Build Fighters Amazing Ready swaps the familiar Aile Striker for a taller thruster pack and adds the Glitter Revs, a pair of shoulder-mounted remote weapons that actually swing on their own axis instead of just sitting there for show. The base engineering is proven Strike-family joints, so it moves the way you already expect a good HG Strike variant to move. It just costs a bit more to get there since it shipped Premium Bandai only.

Best for: Gundam SEED and Build Fighters fans who already like the Strike frame and want a P-Bandai variant with real posing upgrades, not just a recolor

The full review

What it is

Underneath the glitter paint job and the new backpack, this is the same reliable Strike Gundam skeleton Bandai has been refining since the original HGCE Strike, so the joints move the way you'd hope: double-jointed elbows and knees, a double ball-jointed neck, and a hip setup that actually lets it kneel and lunge. The new parts are the Tall Striker backpack and the Glitter Revs, floating shoulder units with their own swing articulation and 3mm mounting points so they read as active weapons rather than static decoration. The short pistols double as saber hilts, which is a small but clever piece of parts efficiency I appreciated once I had it in hand.

The catch

This was a Premium Bandai online-exclusive release, so you're paying import or aftermarket prices rather than a normal hobby shop tag, and that changes the value math compared to a mainline HG. Color separation is inconsistent: the chest yellow and antenna are properly molded in their own colors, but the wing red on the Tall Striker and several armor slits lean on stickers instead of plastic. Builders also flag visible seam lines on the weapons, the calves, and parts of the Tall Striker backpack, and there's no storage gimmick for the armor schneiden pieces once you're posing the kit.

Who it's for

Buy this if you already enjoy the Strike Gundam family and want a Build Fighters variant with genuinely different articulation options, not just a paint swap, or if the Glitter Revs shoulder weapons appeal to you as a display gimmick. Skip it if you're hunting for the most screen-accurate Aile Strike or you're not willing to pay P-Bandai secondary-market prices for what is, mechanically, a familiar HG frame with new armor. If you can find the mainline HGCE Strike for less and don't care about the Build Fighters connection, that kit gets you most of the same posing for less money.

The build story

What the build is actually like, and the engineering worth knowing about.

Assembly follows the familiar HGCE Strike playbook, so if you've built any Strike variant before, nothing here will surprise you. The Tall Striker backpack clips on cleanly and doesn't fight the shoulder joints, and the Glitter Revs mount via 3mm axis points that let them swing rather than just clip rigidly in place. Seam management is the main chore: the weapons, the calves, and sections of the backpack show split lines that reward a little sanding if you want a cleaner finish.

Where the kit earns its keep is posing. The double-jointed elbows and knees plus the double ball-jointed neck give it a wider range than a lot of same-era HG kits, and the hip block lets it get low into a lunge without the frame binding. Color separation is a mixed bag, strong on the chest yellow and antenna, weaker on the wing red and armor slits where stickers fill in, so expect to spend time with the sticker sheet or a paint pen if you want it looking crisp on a shelf.
