The verdict

Ryo Sayama's Alexander Type-02 rounds out the Wyvern Squad trio alongside the Ayano and Leila versions, all three built on the same Type-02 tooling introduced after the Battle of St Petersburg in Akito the Exiled.

Taken alone it is a fine, simple snap kit of a secondary character's machine, but its real appeal is completing the matched set rather than standing out on its own.

Best for: Wyvern Squad completionists building the full trio, or dedicated Akito the Exiled fans tracking down every pilot's Knightmare

Released in 2013, this kit gives you Ryo's specific pilot colors and equipment on the shared Alexander Type-02 chassis. Box contents are plastic sprue and a decal sheet, no polycaps and no inner frame, the same lightweight snap format as the rest of Bandai's 1/35 Mechanic Collection line for this franchise. If you already have the Akito Custom or either sibling Type-02 kit, the core shape here will be immediately familiar, with the distinguishing details in Ryo's loadout and finish.

The catch

This kit shares its base tooling with three other releases in this catalog, so bought in isolation it can feel closer to a recolor than a distinct build. It is a simple snap kit rather than a Gunpla-tier release, with modest articulation and part complexity throughout. Ryo is also a less prominent character than Leila within the broader Code Geass story, which limits this kit's appeal outside of Wyvern Squad completionists specifically, and as with its siblings, documented hands-on build reports are scarce online.
