This kit works because it does not try to reinvent anything, it just takes the excellent MG 00 Gundam frame and gives it a new toy to carry.

The XN Raiser attachment folds onto the back and hands you a pair of GN Buster Sword III blades that combine into one oversized weapon, and that gimmick alone makes the kit worth having on the shelf. Four new runners handle the XN Raiser itself, and the payoff is a pair of GN Buster Sword III blades you can wield one in each hand or clip together into a single massive greatsword. Building it feels familiar in the best way, the 00 Gundam frame was already one of the standout MG engineering jobs of its era, and stapling a fresh weapon platform onto a frame that already articulates and locks together this well is an easy win.

The catch

The XN Raiser add-on itself is the smaller half of this kit. Builders who already own a standard 00 Gundam or 00 Raiser are essentially buying the frame a second time to get four runners of new parts, and reviewers have called the raiser unit modest rather than a game changer on its own. It was also a P-Bandai online exclusive, so pricing and availability run higher than a retail-shelf MG, and secondary market prices reflect that. The 00 Gundam frame this kit is built on already goes together cleanly, gates are placed sensibly, and there are no fit or seam complaints showing up in build reports, so most of the actual work is snapping together a frame that was already well engineered years earlier.

The standout piece is the XN Raiser unit folding flat onto the back and unfolding into the GN Buster Sword III pair, which then clip into a single combined blade. Articulation inherits everything that made the base 00 Gundam pose well, and the light sticker count paired with dry-transfer and water decals means the color separation reads clean without a lot of extra painting work.
