Build Fighters

Build Fighters is Gundam being playful about itself. Instead of a war between nations, the story is about Gunpla Battle, a game where built kits come to life and fight, so the suits are custom builds and remixes rather than in-universe war machines. It is the timeline that treats model building as the whole point, which is a fun place for a hobbyist to live.

That premise frees the designs up completely. Build Fighters suits take familiar Gundams and push them somewhere new, with fresh color schemes, bolted-on gimmicks, and full-on original customs like the Build Strike and the Try Burning. For a builder, they double as inspiration, because the whole line is a showcase of what you can do when you stop treating a kit as a fixed thing and start treating it as a starting point.
